These two playable characters have different attributes Jake has the more powerful weapons, and Garathe Den jumps higher, further, and moves faster. In different levels the player will be either Jake of Garathe Den. Gameplay Silly humans, don't you know that melee-range is not for kids?įor the most part Hunter Hunted is a simple 2d action game where the player will run and gun their way to an exit on each level, picking up weapons, and other items on the way. Garathe den hails from a Minotaur-like race who were also conquered and enslaved by the Masters. Now in 2015, the Champion of Earth, Jake, is being forced into one final battle, a battle with the champion from the planet of Kullrathe, Garathe Den. These Hunters were forced to battle in the ruined cities of Earth against one another to the death. The unlucky survivors were to become salves known as "Hunters" for the Masters entertainment. The Masters exterminated the majority of humanity in a matter of days. In the closing years of the 20th century Earth was invaded by a brutal warrior-race of aliens, known only as the Masters. This pseudo 3D aspect is the ability to move towards, or away from the camera, to move into rooms in either of those directions (where appropriate). Recommend you add Twenty One Pilots on your bucket list of bands you have to see before you die.įor concert photos of Twenty One Pilots, NONONO, and Hunter Hunted, click here.Hunter Hunted is a side-scrolling action game with a pseudo 3rd Dimensional aspect. The theatrics, the songs, the energy: deserves the top spot in my list of best shows ever. The sensory experience reached its crescendo with a dual drum-off on watered kits in the backdrop of red and blue lights a la Blue Man Group. I will give you a minute to let that sink in. You think that was rad? Few songs later, Josh drummed on a platform the same way. Audience interaction reached new levels of intimacy as Tyler belted out h olding onto you on a platform held on by those in the first few rows. The band also threw in a Mad World electro beats cover for good measures. The energy level never dipped, as the cult-like fan base yelled out every syllable of every song from the genre-defying brilliant Vessels. Starting off in ski masks for Guns for Hands, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun changed into a skeleton suit before settling into the attire for the evening. The Swedish trio’s radio hit Pumpin Blood briefly spiked up the energy level in an otherwise fairly subdued set.ĭescribing the Twenty One Pilots show as ‘theatric’ would be a criminal understatement. Her muffled quiet banter furthered a sense of disconnect, rather unfortunate, given the band had some quality material, especially the mellower Love. Loud instrumentation (drums and guitars) drowned out Stina Wappling’s vocals. ![]() NONONO, also making their Canadian debut, couldn’t match the energy levels of the first act. The band also snuck in a Pixies cover, earning the bonus points with the grown ups as well. Melodic dance-pop with shades of strings and acoustic guitar and unforgettable harmonies, their sound resonated with the tweens and hipsters alike. The LA based indie pop band, making their Canadian debut, had the crowd clapping along within the first song. Bands take note: coming out to a Game of Thrones theme will earn you fans. Bash on the tweens all you like for idolizing the Biebs, but they were plenty in number (with parents tagging along) to join the roaring crowd at the Opera House to partake in the Twenty One Pilots experience.įirst impressions are last impressions, and Hunter Hunted made a lasting one, even before the first note. ![]()
